ABACUS Inauguration & Talk on Entrepreneurship – A Report

ABACUS conducted its first inaugural programme on 10th March 2011. It was aimed at
providing the members with an idea of what all opportunities lay in the world
outside which could be accomplished by one’s self. That being the case, entrepreneurship
was the first idea that would come to one’s mind. To blaze one’s own trail.

It was decided to conduct a talk on entrepreneurship. Shalin Jain, the CEO of tenmiles
corporation was invited. A well, known entrepreneur in India, he started his own company
at the age of 18 and made it a success over the years.

The programme started at 10.45am and he shared his experiences with all of the ABACUS
members gracefully. The speech was much motivational and he had a few points that
all of us could take to life. “To follow what you love”, was his message. Concluding
his talk in a span of 45 minutes, he threw an open session of Q & A (an interactive session)
which was welcomed by the students.

However, due to the limitation of the time, the programme had to be concluded 12:00pm.
Many questions were put forth including personal ones to which he gave motivating replies.
The programme was concluded at 12:00, having taken the first step of not just ten miles, but the thousand miles ahead.

Here is to the future! We process it.
